Ever wanted to try your hand at sculpting this gorgeous soft stone? Create a bold and striking sculpture for indoors or outdoors with Michael.
In this 2 day workshop students will work with sculptor, Michael Irwin to discover how to carve limestone and finish at least one carving in fabulous Oamaru stone.
During this workshop you will learn to design a 3 dimensional sculpture, cut stone safely and confidently, use a variety of saws, rasps, rifflers and chisels, and develop surface and finishing techniques.
