CWW1.1: Fused Glass Making with Christine Walker

Design your own fused-glass art using cut and shaped pieces of colourful glass. Suitable for beginners or those who have caught the glass bug!

Description

This will suit people wanting to learn a different skill, try something new, or craving creative escape. This is a small group class (max 6) and will deliver plenty of fun and creativity in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

What do we make?  You can choose up to two of the following options depending on time. You can choose the same option twice.

1.  Two Coasters (10cm square each)

2.  One flat piece of art (approx. 15cm square or 10x20cm rectangle)

3.  A suncatcher or other hanging flat piece (dimensions as above)

There is some flexibility on size depending on what you want to make, you may wish to choose one option and make it bigger e.g. 30cm square. More information will be sent pre workshop and design guidance given.

The closer you are to knowing what you want to do on the day then the sooner you can get creating, but time is allowed for guidance on final design on the day. We also discuss ways of displaying your work. Please see WORKSHOP INSPIRATION

You can expect a professional introduction to the medium. You will learn to safely cut, shape and assemble the different types of glass and create 2 unique pieces.

When will my art be ready?

Your piece will be taken away at the end of the workshop and fired in a kiln. You will be contacted when ready for collection from EAC (approx. 1-2 weeks). I can post at your cost and risk.
