CWW: Beginners Fused Glass Workshop with Christine Walker

This fun and creative workshop is for people who have never done glass work before but would love to give it a go.

Description

Suitable for people who have never done glass work before and are wanting to try something new, or craving a creative escape. This is a small group class (max 6) and will deliver plenty of fun and creativity in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

What do we make?

You will make 2 pieces 15cm square or 15cm x 7cm rectangle, or one larger piece. (max 25 x 25cm). You can also make a pendant /earrings or brooch, mini picture or fridge magnet, if you have time at the end.

Can be of any design you choose e.g. picture, landscape, waves, flower scene, abstract or a hanging Christmas decoration/ suncatcher. You can expect a professional introduction to the medium. To learn to cut, shape and assemble glass and create 2 unique pieces of art.

More information will be sent pre workshop and design guidance given.

Your piece will be taken away at the end of the workshop and fired in a kiln. You will be contacted when ready for collection from EAC (approx. 1-2 weeks).

 

 

Supplies

All glass and tools will be provided.

Shoes must be worn at all times.

What do you need to bring:

N95 mask – (will be available to buy on the day if required $5 – compulsory if working with powders

Your lunch, or buy from onsite café

Your ideas , images, inspiration

Your piece will be taken away at the end of the workshop and fired in a kiln. You will be contacted when ready for collection from EAC (approx. 1-2weeks). Work can be posted at your cost and risk.
