IBA: Advanced Acrylic and Oil Painting with Ingrid Boot

You will already be creating and be interested in refining your skill base by studying specific subject matter or new techniques with Ingrid.

Description

Ingrid is proficient in both oils and acrylics and has a passion for figurative art and still life.  She loves to inspire others to really think about their painting and how they can improve.  

This course will be a mixture of group practical exercises (optional) as well as working on your own painting with guidance when needed.  Examples of subjects to study could include how to paint fabrics, glass or shiny metals or textures plus more.  Ingrid will have a toolbox of ideas that she will offer but is open to suggestions depending on the needs of the class.  

Members Price : 240.75 Incl. GST  $30.09 per class ($10.03 per hour).

Non Member price : $267.50 Incl GST $33.44 per class ($$11.15 per hour).

 

Prerequisites

Advanced painters.

Supplies

Students required to bring their own art supplies (ie: paints, brushes and canvas, paper or board)

1. Pencil or charcoal / rubber

2. Ruler always helpful

3. Assorted Paint brushes

4. Roll of paper towel- NB!!!!

5. Mixing Pallet (Stay wet pallet works very well)

6. Pallet knife

7. Roll of glad wrap (plastic food wrap)

8. Notebook to take notes down

9. Gesso (white and/or black)

10. Spare canvas (small canvas panel/board for practicing) very helpful

11. Water spray bottle (if using acrylic)

12. Masking tape

13. Acrylic or oil paint:

Phthalo blue; French Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson or Carmine red, Cadmium red Hue, Cadmium yellow, Carbon or Ivory Black, Titanium white,  Sap Green, Magenta, Yellow Ochre,  Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna
