IBA: Advanced Acrylic Tuesday Morning Soiree with Ingrid Boot
In this advanced class, renown, local artist Ingrid Boot will guide you to take your skills and talents and love for painting to the next level.
Description
We are honoured that renown, local artist Ingrid Boot has agreed to tutor this Term 4 for us, her local Estuary Art Centre in Orewa.
After studying Art at Westminster University, London, Ingrid completed an Illustration degree at De Montfort University. Today, her work is displayed in private collections around the world especially in New Zealand, her home since 2000.
Ingrid will guide you in all aspects of art including how to see, ways to draw, colour mixing, composition and more. As an award winning artist she will add value and a different flavour to what you already know and do to bring the "WOW factor" to your already amazing paintings.
Prerequisites
Advanced painters.
Supplies
Students required to bring their own art supplies (ie: paints, brushes and canvas, paper or board)
1. Pencil or charcoal / rubber
2. Ruler always helpful
3. Assorted Acrylic Paint brushes
4. Roll of paper towel- NB!!!!
5. Mixing Pallet (Stay wet pallet works very well)
6. Pallet knife
7. Roll of glad wrap (plastic food wrap)
8. Notebook to take notes down
9. Gesso
10. Spare canvas (small canvas panel/board for practicing) very helpful
11. Water spray bottle
12. Masking tape
13. Acrylic paint:
Phthalo blue; French Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium red Hue or vermillion, Lemon yellow, Cadmium yellow deep, Black (lamp or Mars), Titanium white, Sap Green, Magenta, Yellow Ochre, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna
