AMA: Clay Sculpting and Bas Relief with Amanda Morton

In this workshop students will learn how to construct a 3 dimensional figure and torso and bas relief tile. Each person will work to their own individual design with guidance. Work will be suitable for firing.

Description

We will focus on proportions, building techniques and problem solving. I will provide hand outs and examples. We will examine a variety of finishing techniques, surface detailing and firing strategies. We will discuss various types of clay and what is best suited for sculpture.

Members Price : $240.75 Incl. GST  $40.13 per class ($13.38 per hour).

Non Member price : $267.50 Incl. GST $44.58 per class ($14.86 per hour).

 

Prerequisites

Beginners / intermediates welcome.

Previous experience with clay or life drawing is beneficial but not necessary

Supplies

Bring your own clay sculpting / modelling tools.  

The tutor will supply necessary items for first session to get everyone started.

Clay, firing and Glazing are extra costs.

Closed shoes to be worn. 

Bring an apron and wear clothes you don't mind getting messy
