Description

In this workshop you will learn to make and use Linocuts as a stamp in clay. Appropriate for any level, from beginners to experienced potters.

In this workshop you will learn how to design, draw and cut a piece of softcut lino to use as a stamp in clay. You do not need to be an amazing artist, I will show you a trick on how to transfer a design onto the lino.
We will start with a demonstration on design, drawing on lino and how to cut this specifically for the use on clay. If you have some designs, drawings, images or photos you would like to use, please bring a printed copy of these.

There will be a variety of suitable printed designs to choose from if you wish. After that the design will need to be transferred to the lino and cut with special lino cutting tools. You will be shown different techniques on how to use the lino cutter to achieve the results you want.
