Colour Theory and mixing from a simplified palette. Understanding the value of the Negative Space within the pictorial plane that constructs the pictorial image with Hillary Austin.
This class will focus on the negative space and image tension points to further understand the relationships of back ground mid ground and foreground. We will be closely observing where the position the image is taken from and it’s furthest (vanishing point) to gain a better understanding of special relationships inside the 2 Dimensional pictorial plane.
On this journey of gaining a greater understanding of how images and volume work inside a painted image we will be learning how to mix colour and understanding the notion of working from a refined simple palette and learning this is how to gain balance over the overall image.
Prerequisites
Beginners are welcome as are more experienced participants.

Supplies
Bring your own:
Paints and brushes whatever you have available
An A4 reference image / photo which is clear that you would like to work from.
A ruler.
A canvas or substrate which is a similar dimension to the reference image / photo, i.e., landscape, square, circular which is not too big as it would be good to come away with an achieved outcome in this full day session.
