LMAW2.1: Beginners Abstract Mixed Media with Larisa Marie

In this workshop you will learn about the elements of art and discover various mixed media materials and how they work together as you create your masterpiece.

Description

This is an intensive, one-day workshop which is perfect for beginners and intermediate level students who want to dive into the possibilities of mixed media art!  We will be starting off with some theory by learning the elements of art, how these contribute to making artwork successful, and the ways we can utilise this knowledge to set ourselves up for success.

We'll then have the opportunity to discover and play with various mixed media materials and techniques including mark-making, inks, acrylics, and subtraction. As we progress throughout the workshop, you'll learn the many ways these mediums can be used separately and together and which ways you prefer to use them in your process.

By the end of the workshop, you'll create your very own abstract mixed media artwork using the theoretical and knowledge you've gained throughout the day.    I look forward to seeing you there!
