Would you like to try clay hand-building? Then this workshop is for you!
We will cover the fundamentals of hand-building with clay. Making pinch pots, coiling and slab building will be demonstrated as well as the various ways that clay can be textured. The use of plaster and clay moulds will also be demonstrated and they will be available to use.
Having set the scene class members to try things out for themselves. Each participant will be supported in creating works that reflect their own personality and point of view.
We will also discuss and explore incorporating other materials within the finished work; as well as alternatives to glazing. The possibilities are limitless!
5kg of clay will be provided.
One item per person will be fired and glazed as part of the workshop.

Bring your own stamps or markers to use if you wish.
Bring an apron and wear closed shoes.
